Bio: Fergus O Mahony

Occupation: Restauranteur and Gallery Owner

Fergus O Mahony has owned Mary Anns in Castletownshend since 1988 and together with his wife Patricia they have built one of the most successful and award winning Bar & Restaurants in Ireland, recognised for many awards both here in Ireland and Abroad and are in over forty International Guides and has featured many times on Irish and British Television Travel Shows and Patricia featured on the Irish version of Ready, Steady, Cook.

In 2003 Fergus opened The Warren Gallery over Mary Anns, named after Mrs Margaret Warren a great local patron of the arts and in year one held six very successful shows.
In 2004 The Warren hosted Thirteen Shows and also put on Major Exhibitions in London and Dublin many of which were sell outs.
In 2005 Fergus put together a schedule of thirteen shows in Castletownshend together with five shows in Dublin one in Cork and another at The Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare.

Permanent Collections of Work from The Warren are now on permanent display at The Lodge and Spa Hotel Clonakilty and The Radisson Hotel and Spa in Cork and work is also on display at The Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links.

He has curated shows for Matt Lamb In Dublin, Cork, London, Venice, Paris and Barcelona and will also be helping in forthcoming Russian Museums shows.

Instrumental in bringing Matt Lamb’s Life of Christ series to Cork and Three Man Show in Cork Opera House for Cork City’s City of Culture Celebrations
