This painting by Ken was influenced by his recent trip to Italy and he has captured the wonderful light beautifully.
Just today I was listening to the famous speech by Martin Luther King in Memphis the day before he was assainated "I have been to the Mountain and I have seen the promised land" and to anyone with a feeling of nostalgia take a look at this Ken creation and you would hope that this is his idea of the promised land. The clouds parting and the wonderful blue sky appearing and heralding another great day in paradise, and for anyone who has had the good fortune to visit Italy you can certainly imagine it being paradise on earth, "La dolce vita"
