William Crozier

William Crozier was born in Scotland in 1930 of Irish parents and studied at the Glasgow School of Art before spending time in Paris. He also worked as a set painter for the Olympia Theatre and the Theatre Royal in Dublin. His first one-man exhibition was held in London in 1957. Since the early 1980s, Crozier has spent part of each year in West Cork, which provides the inspiration for his recent paintings, although the works often take shape in the home counties of England.
